My 5 Favorite Creative Business Resources (Part 2)

In 2019 I shared some of my 5 favorite business resources on my blog and it has been such a hit. I still use and love all of those resources, and if you haven’t checked out that post, you can do so here. I wanted to do a follow up to that post with 5 new resources that I have added into my process that I don’t know how I lived without.

FloDesk. (for Sending Beautiful Emails)

Early this year, I switched from MailChimp to Flodesk for my email list management and I am kicking myself for not doing it sooner. I use to get so frustrated with Mailchimp. No matter how hard I tried, my emails just never looked GOOD. Not to mention, as my list grew, so did the pricing. I have been so impressed by Flodesk. The emails are aesthetically pleasing, it’s super user friendly, and you can have unlimited subscribers without raising the price. If you wan’t to try FloDesk for yourself, you can get 50% off your plan with this link.

SQUARESTYLIST - FOR BEAUTIFUL SQUARESPACE WEBSITES

Squarestylist is hands down my favorite resource for creating beautiful and unique Squarespace sites that don’t feel like Squarespace sites. I’m pretty sure I have almost all of them at this point! The best part? All of Rache’s courses are so affordable and easy to follow (even if code scares you) You can shop the Squarestylist mini courses and templates here.

LOOM (VIDEO RECORDINGS)

Loom is another resource that I’m not quite sure how I ran my business without. I use Loom almost every day! Loom is a platform that can record both video and screen recordings. After you are done recording, you can quickly download the video or send the link out to whoever needs to see it. I use loom to record presentations for my clients, for sharing tasks with my team and for client tutorials. There is a free version of Loom which is a great way to try it out!

CANVA

I resisted the greatness that is Canva for a very long time. While I obviously use the Adobe Suite for most of my work, I Iove creating branded templates for my clients to use within Canva. Canva is great for clients who are not as comfortable with using the adobe suite or don’t want to pay that pesky subscription. Seriously, my grandma could probably use Canva, it’s THAT easy. You can use the free version of Canva, or you can opt for a paid account. My clients typically utilize the paid versions (as it is a fraction of the adobe suite cost) and I then go in and set up their color palettes, type families and templates for them. Every client that I have set up with Canva has been obsessed and I have been so impressed by the way they are able to keep things like social graphics branded and beautiful.

At the end of the day, I want to do whatever is best and easiest for my clients and oftentimes that looks like Canva.

Stocksy
Stocksy is a stock photo site that I have grown to really love. One of the reasons that I love Stocksy is that their photos tend to feel a bit more unique and artful than a lot of the other stock photo sites. I also love the ability to utilize galleries. I use Stocksy often for clients as well as for my own sites.

I plan to do a more in-depth post on how exactly I use each these resources in my business so if you have any questions, please drop them below! Let us know - What are your favorite business resources?
